This is the most spectacular and rarest celestial event taking place on Friday 27th July 2018.
This longest and total lunar eclipse will be visible in Spain from 21.15hrs where stargazers will have plenty of time to marvel at the sight lasting approximately one hour and 43 minutes with the average lasting up to just an hour.
A total lunar eclipse is sometimes called a Blood Moon where the moon takes on red and copper tones. This type of eclipse is when the moon passes through the earth’s shadow and sunlight filtered through the earth’s atmosphere bounces back onto the moon’s surface.
Unlike a solar eclipse, the Blood Moon is visible to the naked eye making it a sight for us all to relish.
Prepare to invite your friends around for a barbecue, sip cocktails or simply chill out on a garden lounger as you watch the longest blood moon of the century!
